And there are two ways to go at this – the first one painting little arms for the sun and moon for hugging. You can also create a very interesting background by adding things like space dust, distant galaxies, stars, asteroids, or nebula. This is a painting that’s sure to get your creative juices flowing. For starters, the two canvases can either be symmetrical or asymmetrical. You can hang them parallel but off-center for a unique aesthetic or go wild and complete the painting on more than two canvases.

The fourth full Moon of 2024—the “Pink Moon”—will next week grace the early evening skies as it rises in the east just as the sun sets in the west.
The most popular way of making this is by painting the sun split into two halves. The 3D version of this should have the sun looking like two hollow semi-spheres. Mustard-colored curtains add to this sunroom's uplifting vibe, while patterned rugs, woven rocking chairs and a brick accent wall give it a rustic flair. While the sun is the life giver, the moon is fertility and the cycle of birth and rebirth.

The juxtaposition of warm and cool can be used to great effect in images where the two symbols form a whole – they look classy and add to the effect of opposing balance and force. The general gist is drawing a body of water, usually a lake, with the sunset over it. But instead of having it reflect the colorful sun rays, the lake reflects the moon and a starry night.
If you're drawing traditionally, you can achieve the same effect by drawing thin lines right under the line art. Integrated PLM solutions empower businesses to streamline workflows, reduce errors, accelerate time-to-market, and unlock a new wave of creativity to optimize designs for manufacturability. In challenging, increasingly competitive times, these advantages can be the difference between leading the pack and falling behind, and it is most important that companies do not give up at the first hurdle of integration. The benefits of PLM do, however, extend beyond said streamlining of workflows and reduction of errors.
When you pack a champion with everything but the kitchen sink, it’s downright impossible to release nuanced adjustments and make them into a stable, consistent performer that’s not going to take over the game. The only champion on the list that wasn’t horrendously overpowered upon release would have to be Ivern, the Green Father. Over the next three full years, Riot has released numerous champions that filled many diverse roles and categories, and every one of them came out too strong. Now, to their credit, they nerfed some faster than others, but the point still stands.

Not much of a prison if it slows that much for that short of a duration. Galio can no longer flash while charging his taunt (W), one of his flashiest and most exciting “combos.” By the same token, his ultimate no longer provides damage reduction to the targeted ally champion. It was one of the most important aspects of his kit as it not only allowed for great “outplay” potential but also had direct ties to his lore and overall concept. By all accounts, the current Galio we have is a pale shadow of his former self and is ten times less fun to play.

The speed at which you could traverse the Summoner’s Rift was nothing short of mesmerizing, and once those huge five-on-five team fights broke out, you could zip through the entire screen in a split of a second. The same thing happened with Irelia’s disarm and Akali’s micro-stun and turret invulnerability while shrouded, to name a few. Whenever Riot realizes they gave a champion too many tools, they’re not afraid to flat-out remove them, for better or worse.
We’re adjusting her numbers to give her enemies a chance to catch their breath. These changes will hopefully remind his enemies of the true power of his sword. Twitch is quite strong in the mid-to-late game which can lead to him snowballing out of control, making him difficult to counter.
They’ll have their hands full with the width of the ultimate, the shielding/damaging ratios, and maybe — just maybe — they might make it semi-global. The trajectory of a new champion release is pretty much a cliché at this point. Sharing your experience helps others make the right decision when searching for a business like this.

While Alaska’s wild salmon and crab are considered premium products, fish from Alaska accounted for only 9% of the world salmon market and 9% of the world crab market, the report said. Competition from farmed salmon and wild Russian salmon dominates that market, according to the report. Much of the world market for crab is claimed by king crab from Russia – the world’s top king crab producer – and snow crab from Canada.

Because of inflation, consumer demand dropped, notably in the United States, where it fell below pre-pandemic levels. A strong dollar and weak yen made Alaska seafood prices less competitive in Japan, a key market, the report said. There was a large amount of 2022 harvested fish leftover as inventory, making wholesalers and retailers less inclined to buy fish in 2023, the report said. And the global supply of key species like pink salmon and pollock increased dramatically, notably from Russia but also in Alaska, the report said.

The second-biggest market as of 2021 and 2022 was Japan, which took in $650 million worth of Alaska seafood annually, the report said. For sockeye salmon, prices paid to fishers delivering their catches were, on average, less than half of what they were paid in 2022, the report said. It was the lowest nominal price since 2004 “and among the lowest prices on record when adjusted for inflation,” the report said. While the dollar and employment totals did not use 2023 data, the report included specific information about one of the main fisheries affected.

Alaska supplied 60% of U.S.-produced seafood, based on the 2021 and 2022 data, and if it were an independent nation, it would rank No. 9 as a global supplier of wild seafood, the report said. Yet Alaska provided only 1.8% of the global supply, on average, during those years. The global crab market was affected by Alaska harvest closures, the report noted. The Alaska seafood industry remains an economic juggernaut, but it is under strain from forces outside of the state’s control, according to a new report commissioned by the state’s seafood marketing agency. The Northwest dining legacy that is Ivar’s began in 1938 with one very entrepreneurial spirit, the late Ivar Haglund.
The seafood industry, between harvesters, processors and managers, accounted for 48,000 jobs on average in 2021 and 2022, equivalent to 29,100 full-time positions, the report said. That is a reduction from the 62,200 total jobs in 2019, the equivalent of 37,400 full-time positions. In 2021 and 2021, there were 1,100 people employed in commercial fisheries across that wide swath of Alaska, working the equivalent of 300 full-time jobs, the report said. Uniworld Cruise Experience
There’s a great range of activities and entertainment options available onboard, as well as a great range of dining options to enjoy. Let's not forget something as essential to us as oxygen nowadays, Wi-Fi! The signals will be available no matter which corner of the ship you walk towards.
Acquired by The Travel Corporation (TTC), a company owning 40 award-winning international travel-related companies, its acclaimed position doesn't come off as a surprise. A prized possession of the power couple – Stanley Tollman and Beatrice Tollman, TTC has been handed down over four generations of this family and continues to live up to its reputation. Of course, it's no surprise that cruise lines are some of the most expensive travel experiences out there. Award-winning small-group adventure-travel tours are the G Adventures specialty.
For more than a century, Collette has been leading award-winning tours. Uniworld’s commitment to sustainability includes a goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and efforts to eliminate more than 60 types of single-use plastic. The city’s famed and formerly tourist-clogged canals were practically empty, although gondola captains stood at the ready.
The exclusive alcohol variety is a must-have, in addition to your meals! Note that alcohol-serving policies differ from region to region, for instance, in Egypt. No need to fret about "what could you possibly do for an entire month on a cruise?" because the onboard activities and cultural enrichments will keep you busy. Onboard or onshore, Uniworld vows to take care of each and every need of their travelers. If you feel like you're breaking the bank with an oh-so-oh-so-average cruise, you'll be having the tour of a lifetime on this cruise. Since 1976, Uniworld River Cruises have held a superior position in the world of luxury cruise lines.
Itineraries are offered for eight- to 10-day trips or 15-plus-day excursions, with some options for pre- and post-cruise extensions. Tailored to the location and time of year, they include activities like guided city tours, wine tastings, local cuisine experiences, and active excursions. Since river cruises only travel short distances between destinations, guests typically spend most of their time on land exploring, eating on board, or sleeping, so there isn’t much need for onboard activities. That said, there’s a great selection of onboard libraries and lounges across the fleet, where guests can relax with a good book or chat with fellow guests on the journeys between destinations. Uniworld cruises are all-inclusive and cost, on average, somewhere between $2000 and $4000 per person, depending on the length of the cruise, the itinerary, and the time of year you plan on traveling. If you’ve ever taken an interest in going on a river cruise, one of the standout providers may have been Uniworld.
Although menus are pre-planned to match up with the destinations, they can still be adapted to suit dietary requirements or preferences, so long as you provide enough notice before sailing. Travelers get a tour guide included in the package who knows every nook and cranny of the destinations. While keeping the energy high, the tours also come with the option of an onshore bicycle trip. Uniworld also offers an annual “Rivers of the World” 55-day sailing that that travels across three continents and to 10 countries aboard four different luxury ships.
With 18 gorgeous river cruise ships, each built to blend seamlessly with the region they travel to, and a selection of great itineraries across a range of amazing destinations worldwide, Uniworld River Cruises is a major operator within the river cruising industry. Founded in 1976, this California-based cruise company has a strong presence not only in North America but for those who enjoy cruising all around the globe. They have a strong customer base and strive to provide new and exciting cruises to their long-time customers. Uniworld’s tour guides provide travelers with authentic, immersive experiences and a local perspective of the destinations on each itinerary.
The ship is an extremely comfortable way to see some of Europe's most popular sights while unpacking only once. The long, narrow ships often dock in the heart of small towns and historic cities so passengers can simply walk off the ship to explore. Shore excursions are included and often are guided walking tours or motorcoach tours, sometimes with lunch in a wonderful restaurant for a local experience. Times change. We have been on a Uniworld cruise and it was wonderful. Sadly, behind the scenes is a different story.Once we saw an excellent promotional presentation, then the last one was truly amateur.
Uniworld offers unlimited drinks including fine regional beers and wines, as well as handcrafted cocktails made with premium spirits. Family cruises also offer onboard cultural activities aimed at young cruisers and teenagers, such as classes where they can learn to cook dishes or learn the language of the local region they are traveling in. Uniworld is a great option if you’re planning on staying a little longer in a certain city either before your cruise commences, or at the end of your trip.

Towel Animal Plush Now Available on Disney Cruise Line Ships
To create towel animals, cruise ship staff typically use white towels, although colored towels may be used for special occasions or themed nights. The towels should be large enough to allow for various folding techniques. Other supplies, such as rubber bands or clothespins, may be used to secure the folds and hold the shape of the animals. Towel animals play a significant role in enhancing the overall cruise experience for passengers. They bring an element of fun and surprise to the cabins, creating a whimsical atmosphere for guests. These towel creations also provide a unique touch of personalization, making each cabin feel special and welcoming.

Unexpected benefits of learning towel folding
New staff members learn the techniques from other staffers and get a fair amount of creative freedom. It’s become standard practice, with about 100 animals on the roster and more coming—Myszewski says they’re trying to fashion a koala and kangaroo for the line’s first cruise to Australia this fall.
Perfect your own favorite towel animal with the following tutorials from the towel animal experts at Carnival Cruise Line. You'll have a mini-zoo full of new, slightly starched friends in no time. While many cruise lines offer complimentary shampoo and conditioner in stateroom bathrooms, they aren’t likely to be the products you use at home.
Bringing fun and surprise elements
It’s much easier to prevent a sunburn than it is to deal with one. A tote bag also comes in handy if you want to do a little shopping at the cruise port. It’s much easier to throw everything you purchase into a tote bag than struggle to carry around several shopping bags. Position the arms and legs of sitting frog as desired and add colored bits of cloth or paper for eyes. If desired further adorn your frog with a tongue or other embellishments. Fold both sides down at the center as you fold the towel in half with each double layered triangle as one of the halves.
Cruise passengers share hilarious snaps of quirky towel 'animals' left in their rooms - The Mirror
Cruise passengers share hilarious snaps of quirky towel 'animals' left in their rooms.
Each animal is carefully folded to resemble its real-life counterpart, bringing a touch of whimsy and charm to the cabins. The tradition of towel folding found its way onto cruise ships in the late 20th century. It is said that the practice began on Carnival Cruise Line in the 1980s when a steward spontaneously folded a towel into a swan and placed it on a guest’s bed. The guest was delighted by this unexpected surprise, and the trend quickly caught on among the cruise staff. There are always new and exciting towel animals appearing on different cruise ships.

“If we don’t make them, [people will] go straight to guest services and complain that there are no animals,” says Carnival’s senior housekeeping manager Marcin Myszewski, about how popular the critters are onboard. While you’re cruising to a Caribbean island, you might not think you will get chilly, but it can get downright cold on the open water at night. Restaurants and the casino can also be a bit chilly, and you’ll want a lightweight sweater or pashmina to keep you warm. I recommend that women wear a bathing suit cover up that looks like a sundress, or actually IS a sundress, when going on shore excursions.
Cruise lines’ response
Learning towel folding can have unexpected benefits beyond just creating cute and whimsical decorations. The process of towel folding can be therapeutic and relaxing, providing a sense of calm and focus. It can also be a fun activity to do with family or friends, fostering creativity and teamwork. Plus, being able to fold towels into unique shapes can impress guests and add a touch of flair to any gathering or event. For those looking to try towel folding at home, there are some tips and tricks that can help beginners get started.
On Carnival cruises, ties aren’t required, but many men choose to wear them, as well as sport coats, on Cruise Elegant Dining nights. While men can wear a suit or tuxedo, it is not a requirement on most cruise lines. We had a great steward, who some days would not even take the tip. I wanted to pay him though because I knew he had lots of other rooms to clean and he went above and beyond the call of duty to come back to our room and re-fold the animal every day for my blog photos. I also learned from this that flashes from a still camera disrupt the video footage, but we did not watch any of them until we got home. Sorry for the jumpy bits, but it still shows how to fold the animal.
You can like it on facebook, follow it on twitter or networked blogs, or sign up for an email subscription. I love walking the decks and seeing the creativity and care that goes into each of the Carnival Cruise Towel Animals. Here are some of our favorite towel animals from our Carnival Cruises.
While towel animals may add a touch of charm to the cabins, cruise lines are mindful of the need to balance guest satisfaction with sustainable practices. The exact origins of cruise ship towel animals are unknown, but the tradition is often linked to Carnival Cruise Line – after all, these creative creations add a bit more fun to a Fun Ship cruise. Today, towel animals are popular on many different lines, including Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International and Holland America Line. While they aren’t as common on more reserved cruise lines, they can still make surprise appearances, particularly if there are younger cruisers in the cabin. Many cruise lines offer towel folding classes or workshops on board, giving passengers the opportunity to learn the art of towel folding themselves. These classes are often interactive and fun, allowing guests to try their hand at creating their own towel animals under the guidance of experienced cruise staff.

With towels in hand, we made our way to the ship’s theater for the class having plenty of space to create. We were greeted by a huge collection of towel animals on display – it was exciting to see so many of them in one place. I just loved seeing the smiles on my girls’ faces as we entered the room. The artistry of folding bath towels into animals and other creations has become a favorite tradition of cruising.
This allows passengers to continue practicing the art of towel folding and recreate the magic of cruise ship towel animals in their own home. On cruise ships, the responsibility of creating towel animals usually falls on the cabin steward or housekeeping staff. These dedicated individuals undergo training to learn different folding techniques and are responsible for creating towel animals for each cabin on a daily basis. They take pride in their work, knowing that these creations bring joy to passengers and enhance their overall cruise experience. Towel animals are often used to enhance special occasions and events on board cruise ships.

The centerpiece of the top deck of each of Viking's ocean ships is the main pool area, which is home to a pool, hot tub and rows of lounge chairs, as well as comfortable seating areas.

Each suite also has an outdoor balcony with seating for two — something you don't always see on Nile ships. The cruise portion of the tour includes visits to the historic temples of Luxor, Karnak, Esna, Dendera and Abu Simbel as well as a visit to the iconic Valley of the Kings. The stay in Cairo brings a visit to the pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum and other sites. Until recently, Viking also offered cruises on the Dnieper River in Ukraine.
Viking recently added two new, 378-passenger expedition cruise vessels specifically built to travel to the White Continent. Notably, the ship features an entire deck of sprawling suites that rival anything else found on the Nile for luxury and comfort. Each comes with two full-size rooms — a large living room with a residential feel and an adjacent bedroom with a walk-in closet and bathroom.
Today the adults-only Norwegian-owned line operates ships of varying sizes on rivers, lakes and oceans around the world and owns the largest fleet of river ships in Europe. Nordic-inspired décor and serene, light-filled spaces are a hallmark of Viking ships and have given it one of the strongest brand identities in the business. Typical 10-day cruises start and finish in the Atlantic-facing city of Porto, where famous port wine warehouses line the waterfront. Learning the secrets of port production is a highlight on Viking Douro cruises, as are the lush green landscapes that stretch all the way to the Spanish border.
Viking’s two expedition ships, Polaris and Octantis, sail to Antarctica, South America and on the Great Lakes in the US and Canada. There are 12 Grand Journeys in South America (ranging from 14 to 71 days) and five Longitudinal World Cruises, which include a new 87-day Arctic to Antarctica journey. If you’re looking for something slightly shorter, Grand Voyages combine multiple ocean-cruise itineraries. You could, for example, visit all of Scandinavia’s major ports, linger in Asia (Tokyo to Bangkok – 29 days) or visit Australia and New Zealand (Auckland to Bali – 31 days). When it comes to rivers, Viking offers cruises in Europe, North America, south-east Asia and Egypt with itineraries ranging from eight to 23 days. While it's not what we'd consider a "foodie" experience and doesn't have as much regional focus as you might expect, Viking's river ships have menus that appeal to a wide range of palates.
In many ways, it's a combination of the best Viking river cruises in Europe as it takes in the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers and Dutch waterways. Viking river cruise ship layouts center on the glass-enclosed Aquavit Terrace. Part dining area, part sunny hangout, the Aquavit Terrace sits at the front of the ship and provides a perfect vantage point for scenic sailing. Another incredible experience in this region is to cruise across the Arctic Circle where sunlight shines 24 hours a day during Norway’s summer. At midnight, locals embrace the everlasting sunset by going to the beach or kayaking under a golden sky. Viking’s 15-day Into the Midnight Sun ocean voyage includes an overnight stay in Bergen and visits to Edinburgh and the Orkney and Shetland islands in Scotland.
Viking offered an included walking tour of Cologne during our stop. However, if you like a smaller group setting, want to work off a few calories from all the delicious food, and of course, enjoy riding a bike, this is the perfect tour for you. This is the best tour I have ever taken and, with my travel history, that is saying a lot. This was the most expensive of the optional excursions I took at over $200, but I felt it was well worth it.
